The Worst BJJ Advice to give to Strong People
Don’t Use Your Strength! This is something all of us big strong people hear in BJJ from day 1. And in my bearded opinion it’s some of the WORST advice in BJJ, as I’ll explain in the video.
Now, I’m sure if you train Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and are a bit smaller, and have had the pleasure of rolling with a 200lbs+ spazzy person, you may be resistant to this idea. But stick with me in the video and I’ll explain why this advice in BJJ leads to poor performances and more injuries.

Thank you! I have been criticized for using strength before, but never for using flexibility or speed. I’ve found this to be a skewed philosophy for quite some time. I especially agree with the idea that it’s foolish for big guys to practice a small guy’s game just to have to compete (or fight on the street) as a big guy. You should be practicing your BJJ the way you plan on applying it.

First of all good points. I will say I don’t appreciate people using strength to simply stalemate me for 8 minutes just for the moral victory of not getting caught by me.
I’m also going to avoid the strong spazzed out white belt (or any spazz) until they calm down a bit
